Here is one that a lot of folks are looking for, at an affordable price. A 2002 Winnebago Journey 36′ diesel pusher motorhome with 2 slides, and lots of room to roam about during your travels.
Winnebago has a long history of excellence in the RV industry and is one of the few companies that survived the 2008 financial troubles that bankrupted some RV manufactures at that time.
The Winnebago Journey was designed and built to lead Winnebago’s top of the line Class A Motorhome lineup. For good reason, powered by a Cummins 330 Diesel engine, a 6 speed Allison automatic transmission, and assembled on a Freightliner chassis, this American RV Dream Machine, provided the RV public with a highly competitive choice when searching for a quality built diesel pusher.
It is an 18 year old RV and has has traveled the country for most of those years. The sellers have developed medical challenges that have brought an end to that element of their lives.
There were a few small issues that needed to be addressed, in preparation for its sale. Primarily cosmetic. The front windshield, which is relatively new, needed the surrounding seal to be repaired so that it would guard against any seepage of moisture from outside.
There is also a skylight installed over the top of the glassed in fiberglass shower stall, that needed to be resealed as well. Fortunately the area where water did penetrate was identified and repaired quickly, and any damage done was purely cosmetic.
The area where moisture did penetrate, is all plastic and fiberglass and so no structural damages were evident. The cloth ceiling material did require steam cleaning to remove any and all of the initial moisture, and to eliminate any water stains remaining.
These two matters were the only ones worth relaying to any prospective buyers, the remaining were minor and cosmetic only, and simple to repair or replace.
The overall condition of this RV is very good, when given the considerations an 18 year old RV deserves. We do complete a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) on most of our RV sales, before we release them to their buyers, in an effort to assure them that all of the primary features of their RV are in good working order.
I say most because some sellers are aware of issues with their RVs and rather than agreeing to fix them prior to it’s sale, will instead reveal these issues to us and we will then relay those same issues to the buyers. In some instances the seller will agree to pay for these repairs, deducting the cost from the amount they agreed to accept, when their RV is sold.
Some will defer those cost to the buyer, with the understanding that a selling price deduction has been allowed to compensate the seller for anything that they may have to spend to repair those identified issues.
I’ve had the privilege of driving and setting this motorhome up on our lot, opening the slides, inspecting the quality of the craftsmanship, and familiarize myself with the overall condition of this RV.
It cleans up nicely and is very presentable both inside and out, and will provide it’s next owners, perhaps you, with many miles and many days of quality RV traveling and living.
The drivers seat, passenger seat (also a recliner) and the extra stand alone leather rocker, swivel, recliner, that sets opposite the passenger seat, are all quality built leather upholstered seating, that rotate 360 degrees and provide comfortable living room seating in the primary living area.
The Kitchen is complete with spacious counter top space, lots of drawers and cupboards to accommodate everything you need or want for preparing meals. The large Microwave oven is a Convection / Microwave combination, there is a 3 burner propane cook top, with a traditional propane oven as well.
The double wide refrigerator and freezer is an RV feature that many look for in their RV considerations. The built in ice-maker is important to many potential buyers as well.
